Enable Remote Control for Zebra Devices (for Legacy Zebra OEMConfig)

To enable remote control for Zebra devices, you must first push a Zebra remote control add-on application to your devices, as well as upload a XML configuration file to your console via Zebra OEMConfig.

>> To enable remote control for Zebra devices:

From your WizyEMM console:

  1. Go to the Profile Management tab
  2. Go to the specific profile under which your Zebra devices are enrolled
  3. Safelist the Remote Control add-on for Zebra application in that profile (link), with install type Force installed. You can find this app by searching for "com.zoho.remoteplugin.zebra" in the Public Applications tab, under Applications Management.
  4. Safelist the Zebra OEMConfig application in that profile, with install type Force installed
  5. Click on the Configuration button next to the Zebra OEMConfig applicationtempsnip.png
  6. Under the Device Administration Configuration menu, select the SubmitXml action and search for the  Submit XML field

  7. Copy paste the following XML into the Submit XML field

  8. Click Submit and save the profile

Another option would be:

  1. Go to the Profile Management tab
  2. Go to the specific profile under which your Zebra devices are enrolled
  3. Safelist the Remote Control add-on for Zebra application in that profile (link), with install type Force installed. You can find this app by searching for "com.zoho.remoteplugin.zebra" in the Public Applications tab, under Applications Management.
  4. Safelist the Zebra OEMConfig application in that profile, with install type Force installed
  5. Click on the Configuration button next to the Zebra OEMConfig application

  6. Under the Service Access Configuration menu, select "Allow" for Service Binding Action 
  7. Fill in the Allow Service Identifier with: com.zebra.eventinjectionservice
     
  8. Select "Allow" for Service Caller Action and fill in the service identifier as: com.zebra.eventinjectionservice
  9. Fill in the Allow Caller package with: com.zoho.remoteplugin.zebra
  10. Fill in the Allow Caller signature with:
