WizyEMM offers four (4) different application configurations for profiles. Each mode determines how applications will be managed or behave on your fleet.

Restricted Play Store

The Restricted Play Store mode allows for only safelisted applications to be downloaded on enrolled devices, through the Google Play store. The public Play Store is not accessible.

If activated, you must select the install types of your applications:

  • Available: Lists the application in the managed Google Play store accessible from the device. The user can install and uninstall the application anytime
  • Force installed: Force installs the application on managed devices. Force installed applications cannot be uninstalled from the device.
  • Preinstalled: Preinstalls the application on managed devices. Preinstalled applications can be uninstalled from the device.

Open Play Store

The Open Play Store mode allows for full access to the public Play Store on enrolled devices, except for selected blacklisted applications. If activated, there are no install types to choose from for the application as the Play Store will automatically be available for your fleet.

Single Application Kiosk

In the Single-Application Kiosk mode, the default home screen is replaced with your Primary app. You can also add background applications, these will run in the background of your primary applications. If activated, there are no install types to choose from for the application as the application will automatically be installed on your fleet.

Multi-Application Kiosk

In the Multi-Application Kiosk mode, the default home screen is replaced with the WizyEMM kiosk launcher. You can customize the look and feel of the launcher in the Kiosk tab of your profile. If activated, there are no install types to choose from for the application as the application will automatically be installed on your fleet.
